Two-Day Youth Enterpreneurship and Women Empowerment Workshop at Bangalor

DHARAMSHALA: Women Empowerment Desk, Department of Home, CTA organised a two days workshop on "Youth Entrepreneurship and Women Empowerment" for the second batch of trainees at ISTL, Neelamangala, Bangalore on 26 and 27 of October 2015. The participants were from various professional training institutes under the Youth Empowerment Support (YES) Program. 32 participants including 21 boys and 14 girls were present during the workshop. Other 7 trainees at the institution could not join the workshop due to their class schedule.

The objectives of the workshop is to encourage the participants to achieve better entrepreneurship qualities, to create awareness on the concepts of gender and women empowerment in the context of Tibetan community and to motivate them to take better responsibilities in life.

Resource Persons at the workshop include Mrs. Dekyi Yangtso Khangsar, the co-founder of the company Reward360 which is a leading Loyalty and Rewards management and solutions providing company in India and Dubai. Second Resource person was Ms. Yangchen Dolker, who is the director of Operations at ABKJ, International Infrastructure and Design Solutions Pvt Ltd.

Dechen Wangmo, coordinator of the Women's Empowerment Desk, Department of Home facilitated the workshop as well as created awareness regarding the gender and women empowerment. The workshop was a success in terms of creating motivation and awareness among the participants and the feedbacks from them reflected the same.
