Home Kalon meets Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh

DHARAMSHALA: Kalon Dolma Gyari of the Department of Home, Central Tibetan Administration paid a courtesy call to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Raman Singh, on 13 April. Kalon Dolma Gyari was accompanied by Mr. Chhimey Rigzen, Additional Secretary of Department of Home, CTA and Mr. Kalden Norbu, Mainpat Settlement Officer. They exchanged souvenirs and had a very productive meeting.

Kalon apprised the Hon’ble Chief minister on the grievances of the Tibetans living in the state, also with regard to the Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy 2014 formulated recently by the Government of India, Kalon requested for the implementation of the policy for the rehabilitation and welfare relief to the Tibetans living in Mainpat Phendeling Settlement.

Kalon expressed sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Govt. of Chhattisgarh for the humanitarian support for the Tibetan Refugees living in the state. Earlier, Kalon also met with the Chief Secretary, Govt. of Chhattisgarh Sh. Vivek Dhand and apprised the same.
