Karnataka Chief Minister Welcomed at Bylakuppe Tibetan Settlement.

Shri Siddaramaih, Chief Minister of Karnataka state being welcomed by Chief Representative Mr Chopel Thubten and the two settlement officers of Bylakuppe.

BYLAKUPPE: Shri Siddharamaih, Chief Minister of Karnataka, accompanied by six Ministers of Karnataka state and local MLA visited the Aavorathi Indian village which is just 3 Km from Bylakuppe Tibetan settlements.

The Chief Minister first landed his helicopter around 11:00 am this morning at Central School for Tibetans, Bylakuppe. At the ground, the Honourable Chief Minister was welcomed by the Tibetan School band with a performance of Snow Lion Dance. Tibetan dignitaries present at the welcome reception include Members of Tibetan Parliament, the Chief Representative of the southern Tibetan settlements, the two Settlement Officers of Bylakuppe, President of Tibetan Freedom Movement, Heads of the various Tibetan Monasteries in Bylakuppe and Heads of Tibetan Governmental and non-Governmental organisations consisting of around 60 members.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister was accompanied by the following six Karnataka Ministers namely Hon’ble Shri Ramesh Kumar, Hon’ble Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of Karnataka, Hon’ble Dr. H.C. Mahadevapa, Honble Minister fro PWD, Govt. Of Karnataka, H. Anjaneya, Hon’ble Minister for Social Welfare, Govt. Of Karnataka, M.B. Patil, Hon’ble Minister for Irrigation, Govt of Karnataka, Tanveer Sait, Hon’ble Minister for Minority & Wakf, Govt of Karnataka and Roshan Baig, Honb’le Minister for Urban Development, Govt. of Karnataka.

At the public function, Mr Chophel Thupten, Chief Representative of the southern Tibetan settlements, felicitated the Chief Minister of Karnataka with a traditional Tibetan scarf and a small souvenir. He expressed his gratitude towards the state of Karnataka for hosting a large number of Tibetans in the state and at the same time expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude for the generous assistance and support to the Tibetan settlements in Karnataka. The two Tibetan settlement Officers, Mr Gelek Jungney and Mr Lhakpa Tsering felicitated other six Ministers of Karnataka and the Local MLA, Mr Venkatesh.”

The Chief Minister of Karnataka and the accompanying six Ministers and local MLA were happy to see a large Tibetan delegation to receive and felicitate them. In the afternoon, the Chief Minister left for Bangalore.
