Appointment of New Secretaries of CTA Departments.

Mr. Chemi Rigzin, former Additional Secretary of the Department of Home, CTA has been appointed as Secretary of the Home department. He took charge from 16 May. Mr. Rigzin began his service in CTA on 2 January 1997 as Deputy Secretary at the Kashag Secretariat. On 15 November 2000, he was appointed as Settlement officer of Bir Tibetan settlement. On 12 November 2004, he was promoted to Joint Secretary and was subsequently appointed as Settlement officer of Lugsam Samdupling Tibetan settlement in Bylakuppe. On 9 March 2006, Mr. Rigzin was appointed as Joint Secretary at Department of Home. On 3 February 2012, he was promoted to Additional Secretary. On 13 January 2016, he was appointed as Additional Secretary at Health department. From 25 July 2016 - 15 May 2017, he has served as the Acting Secretary of home department.

Mr. Jigme Tsering, former Acting Secretary of the Public Service Commission has been appointed as Secretary of Public Service Commission. He took charge from 17 May. Mr. Jigme joined Central Tibetan Administration on 31 January 2005 as Joint Secretary at Tibetan Computer Resource Centre (TCRC). On 4 February 2012, he was promoted to Additional Secretary. On 1 January 2016, Mr. Jigme was appointed as Additional Secretary of Election Commission and Acting Secretary of Public Service Commission.

Mr. Karma Singhe, former Additional Secretary of the Department of Education has been appointed as Secretary of the department. He took charge from 18 May. Mr. Singhe began his service in the CTA from 6 September 1995 as Under Secretary at Ladakh Tibetan settlement office. On 1 May 1998, he was appointed as Settlement officer of Paonta Cholsum Tibetan settlement. On 2 February 1999, he was promoted to Deputy Secretary. On 4 April 2002, he was appointed as Settlement officer of Miao Chopheling Tibetan settlement. He also served as settlement officer at Bir and Kulllu Tibetan settlement. On 18 February 2005, he was promoted to Joint Secretary. On 2 January 2009, he was appointed as settlement officer of Kollegal Tibetan settlement. On 8 February 2012, he was promoted to Additional Secretary at Education department. From 1 August 2016 - 17 May 2017, he has served as the Acting Secretary of the Education department.

Mr. Karma Rinchen, former Additional Secretary of Department of Security, CTA has been appointed as Secretary of the Security department. He will take charge on 19 May. Mr. Rinchen began his service in Central Tibetan Administration on 9 September 1995 as Under Secretary at Security department. On 5 February 1999, he was promoted to Deputy Secretary and on 19 February 2005, Mr Rinchen was promoted to Joint Secretary. On 9 February 2012, he was promoted to Additional Secretary. From 25 July 2016 - 18 may 2017, Mr Rinchen has served as Acting Secretary of the Security Department.

Mr. Tenzin Lungtok, former Additional Secretary of Department of Religion and Culture, CTA has been appointed as Secretary of the department. Mr. Lungtok will take charge on 22 May 2017. On 11 September 1995, Mr Lungtok began his service in the Central Tibetan Administration as Under Secretary at Department of Security. On 10 October 1996, he was transferred to Department of Education. On 9 February 1999, Mr. Lungtok was promoted to Deputy Secretary at Education department. Mr Lungtok later served at the Office of Tibet, Nepal from 5 August 2002. On 12 July 2004, he was appointed as Deputy Secretary of the Public Service Commission. On 28 February 2005, he was promoted to Joint Secretary at Finance department. As Joint Secretary, he served in Department of Home and the Election Commission, from August 2006 - May 2012. On 15 May 2012, he was promoted to Additional Secretary. On 8 August 2016, he was appointed as the Acting Secretary of the Department of Religion and Culture.
