This division looks after the overall general administrative activities of the department (main department and settlement’s accounts, preparing yearly budgets, providing residential facilities to new arrivals, etc. etc.) and coordinates and assists all the Tibetan Settlements in India, Nepal and Bhutan in their smooth administrative functioning of their day-to-day activities.
This division consists of two main activities. The first is to look after and take care of destitute in all the Tibetan Settlements and scattered communities and also looks after 14 OPHs located in different Tibetan Settlements.
Secondly, the Youth Empowerment Support or YES provides short to long term skill training and micro-credit to the unemployed youth especially to those who could not continue their school or college, and school dropouts so that the number of unemployed youth is reduced by making them self-reliant.
This division looks after all the Tibetan Agricultural Settlements engaging in agricultural allied activities in India, Nepal and Bhutan, encouraging organic farming by giving financial and logistical support . It also aims to ensure agricultural practices that are sustainable and environmental friendly.
